Missing Monday

I will not be in class tomorrow because I will be participating in a wonderful professional development opportunity in science.  I am taking a course through the Vermont Science Initiative.  The class is takes place at Williston Central School so I will be able to check in with students before school, during my break, and I will hold “Math Boot Camp” after school as planned.  The course will help improve my science instruction, pedagogy and content knowledge.  Our class loves learning science and I am excited to take everything I gain in this course back to the classroom and apply it with kids.  I have linked two different articles to this post.  One is on the importance of improving science instruction and the other references a recent report on the strength of Vermont in offering professional development opportunities.
